W. F. Garcelon, L.S. '95 and J. L. Bremer '96 who have coached the hurdlers for several years, have presented four cups to be competed for by the hurdlers who are not successful in making the track team. The cups are offered "for the purpose of encouraging practice in hurdling and to give souvenirs of the training season of 1901". No man is eligible to compete in these races who is chosen this year to represent Harvard in the games with Yale. There are two prizes in each event, but no man will be allowed to win more than one prize.
The races will be held on Soldiers Field, either May 8 or May 15. Entries may be made in the blue book at the Locker Building.
The cups are now on exhibition in the window of the CRIMSON office.
