Freshman Musical Clubs.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The progress of the Freshman Musical clubs has been retarded by a decided slump on the part of the Mandolin and Banjo clubs. The work of the Mandolin Club is desultory and lifeless, but the faults are such as time and perseverance can correct.

The Banjo Club is in a much worse condition, as but few of the candidates attend the regular rehearsals and do the assigned work. Though only six weeks remain before the annual concerts, this club has not yet shown any evidence of ability to take part in a public performance.

The Glee Club, with three rehearsals a week, has thus far been making excellent progress.
