Yacht Club Plans.

The Yacht Club has elected the following officers for next year: Commodore, J. H. Smith '02; vice-commodore, H. Burgess '02; rear-commodore, R. B. Noyes '02; secretary and treasurer, F. W. Peabody '03.

Some time ago a letter was sent to several colleges offering a permanent trophy for intercollegiate yacht races. Owing to the apathy of the yacht clubs of these colleges to enter into such a race at this time, the plan was deferred until next year.

Final arrangements for the summer cruise of the Yacht Club have been made. There will be two divisions, one south and one north of the Cape. The southern division will assemble at Vineyard. Haven on July 22. From there the fleet will sail westward reaching Newport a day before the New York Yacht Club. The northern division will leave Marblehead August 5, thus giving the members opportunity to enter the open races there on August 1, 2 and 3. From Marblehead the fleet will cruise to Isleboro, where open races will be held about August 12.
