The University hockey team defeated the Newtowne team on Saturday afternoon by the score of 4 to 1. The game was fast and interesting from beginning to end, but the poor condition of the ice prevented brilliant or very consistent playing. All of Harvard's scoring was done in the first half and her failure to score in the latter part of the game was due more to her own falling off than to any improvement on the part of her opponents. The Newtowne team made its only tally at the beginning of the second half during a close scrimmage in front of Harvard's goal.
The Harvard team played as follows:
Pruyn, Winsor, Goodridge, Rumsey, Macleod, forwards; Penhallow, coverpoint; Carr, point; Manning, goal.
