The checker team will play a match with a team representing Brown on Saturday, October 25, at the Union. It has also been decided to play a match with Yale at New Haven the night before the football game. An intercollegiate tournament has been arranged between Harvard. Yale, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia and Brown, but the date of this tournament has not yet been fixed.

The checker club will hold a tournament for the purpose of selecting men to represent the club in the intercollegiate tournament. Blue-books for entries have been placed at Sanborn's and at Leavitt & Peirce's. The entries will close October 25. Cups will be awarded to the three men making the best scores in the tournament.
