Freshmen Have First Line-Up.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday afternoon the Freshman football squad was divided into six teams which were lined up against each other for the first time. Even considering that this was the first line-up the playing was very loose and erratic. As the men were nervous they failed to work together and did not follow the ball. On the offensive the interference was slow in forming and was easily broken up by individual playing on the defence. The men seem to have mastered the rudimentary principles fairly well, but will have to work hard before any signs of team work appear. All the teams were evenly matched and in consequence the playing was close.

Besides E. Motley '02, E. T. Putnam 2G., B. Wendell, Jr., 2L., and C. H. Robinson '04 coached the squad.
