The funeral services of the late Professor James B. Thayer will be held at Appleton Chapel at 12 o'clock today. The services will be conducted by Dr. S. M. Crothers and Rev. Edward Hall of Cambridge. The following men will act as pall-bearers: President Eliot, Dr. H. P. Walcott, Professor J. B. Ames, Judge Jeremiah Smith, Mr. F. L. Thorndike, Mr. W. R. Ware, Mr. G. V. Leveret, Dr. J. L. Hildreth.
There will be no lecture in the Law School today, and Austin Hall will be closed between 11.30 and 2 o'clock. The members of the Law School will meet in front of the School at 11 o'clock in order to march in a body to Professor Thayer's house and escort the funeral procession to Appleton Chapel. Seats will be reserved on the main floor of the church for the third year law class and in the gallery for the rest for the school.
