The lacrosse season opens tonight with a meeting for all candidates for the University and class teams at 7.30 o'clock in Lower Massachusetts. At this meeting the work of the year will be briefly outlined by C. R. Stevenson, captain of the team; and short addresses will follow by F. B. Taylor 3L., head coach; R. H. Grimes 3L., who will have charge of the Freshmen; and J. W. Sever '01, captain of last year's championship team. R. S. Francis '02 will speak on the relation of lacrosse to other sports.
The plan at present for the southern trip is to leave Boston Monday, April 14 and return Sunday, April 20, playing games with Stevens Institute, Swarthmore, Crescent Athletic Club and Johns Hopkins.
