The National Municipal League, which holds its eighth annual meeting and tenth national conference in Boston this week, has been invited by the Corporation to hold the meetings on Friday in Cambridge, and to take luncheon in the Faculty Rooms of University Hall.
The morning session will be held at 10 o'clock in 10 Pierce Hall, at which addresses will be made by Mr. George W. Guthrie of Pittsburg on "The Pittsbury Victory;" Dr. Albert Shaw, editor of the Review of Reviews, on "Harrisburg's Advance" and "The New York Situation;" Hon. E. A. Philbin on "Police Administration in Great Cities;" Professor J. H. Beale of the Law School on "Charter Legislation in New England."
At the afternoon session, which will be held at 3 o'clock in Sanders Theatre, brief addresses will be made by President Eliot, Mr. Charles J. Bonaparte '71, of Baltimore; Mr. Guthrie, of Pittsburg; Dr. Shaw, of New York; Dr. Edward Everett Hale '39, and Mr. H. E. Deming '71, of New York.
