M. T. Lightner '03 was last night unanimously elected captain of the University track team for next year. Lightner lives in Highland Park, Illinois, and prepared for College at Rugby School, Kenilworth, where he took an active part in athletics. In his Freshman year he took part in the dual games. Last year he was second in the 100 and third in the 220 in the dual games and second in the 100 and fourth in the quarter at the Mott Haven games. This year he ran second in the quarter in the dual games; in the intercollegiate games he won the 220 in the record time of 21 3-5s., and came fourth in the quarter.
