In the University basketball practice yesterday afternoon the second team defeated the first by a score of 8 to 4. The passing and catching of the first team was not as inaccurate as on the previous day, but the playing lacked life and the team was kept on the defensive the greater part of the time. The first team was handicapped by the absence of Randall at centre; otherwise the regular men were in the line-up.
