The Newell Senior crew did not row yesterday afternoon, but the squad was sent out in singles in order to practice the finish of the stroke and a slower recovery. All the other crews from both clubs rowed on the river with practically the same orders as during the past week. As yet the development of the various crews has been very slow and on this account it is impossible to estimate their ability. The Freshmen, in particular, have made very little progress, owing to the fact that they have not yet become accustomed to the water.
The launch "Veritas" will be launched today and will probably be in commission by the middle of next week. The tank at the University Boathouse has been drained and covered over for the summer.
