The University baseball team will play its first game of the southern trip this afternoon with Georgetown on the Georgetown diamond at Washington, D. C. Georgetown has an especially strong nine this year, having defeated Princeton, 6 to 5, and played a tie game with Yale, 5 to 5. In the later game, Georgetown batted strongly, but made five errors in the field.

Clarkson will pitch his first game of the season for the University team, and Coolidge also will be in the line-up for the first time. The batting order of the teams will be as follows: HARVARD.  GEORGETOWN. Carr, 3b.  1b. Dowling Matthews, s.s.  s.s., Dorman Randall, 1b.  3b., Morgan Clarkson, p.  c., Apperious Stillman, c.f.  r.f., Hart Coolidge, 2b.  2b., McGettigan Daly, r.f.  c.f., Keane H. D. Kernan, l.f.  l.f., Byrnes R. P. Kernan, c.  p., Drill, Seitz

The squad will go on Sunday to Annapolis, where two games with the Naval Academy will be played on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Yale defeated the Navy team on April 10, by a score of 1 to 0, narrowly escaping a tie game by putting Ryden out at the plate, when he was attempting to score a home run on a long hit. In this game, the Navy played brilliantly in the field, but save for Ryden's hit, batted poorly. Last year, Harvard defeated Annapolis in two games, by scores of 13 to 7, and 17 to 5.

On the return trip from Annapolis, the University team will play West Point at West Point on Saturday, April 25. Harvard defeated West point last year in a poorly played game by the score of 14 to 4. the Army team has already won two games this season, having defeated Williams, 5 to 2, and Union College, 3 to 1.
