The full-length portrait of Major Higginson, painted by John Sargent, R. A., Has been moved from the Boston studio of Frederick P. Vinton, where it was painted; and is now in the store-room of the Union. A frame is being made for it to match that of the Adams portrait by Stuart, which hangs on the left of the north wall of the Living Room. Major Higginson's portrait will be placed on the right of the north wall, where the painting of Amos A. Lawrence now hangs.
