The University cricket team will play Haverford at 10 o'clock this morning on Soldiers Field. There will be no admission fee to see the game. The math will be declared a draw if it is unfinished at 6 o'clock.
Steady improvement has been shown by the University team during the season and its bowling is better than last year. The batting, however, is not consistent and the fielding is poor. Haverford has defeated Harvard for the last three years, the game in 1902 resulting 354 runs to 74 in Haverford's favor. The Haverford team this year is very strong, and is probably superior to any other college team in this country. It has already defeated all the strong cricket clubs in Philadelphia.
The batting order of the two teams will be as follows:
Harvard--Drinkwater, W. N. Taylor, Carter, Mifflin, F. C. Taylor, Rothermel, Trout, Evans, D. Tyng, Trainers, Stork.
Haverford--C. C. Morris, Priestman, Pearson, Bonbright, Lowry, Drinker, Pleasants, Peirce.
