The usual batting and fielding work, under the direction of coach Wendell, comprised the practice of the University baseball squad yesterday. The quality of the play was of about the ordinary average. While in the field, some little improvement was shown, especially in the work of Randall and Matthews. The most encouraging part of the work was the final infield practice with men on bases. Although this portion of the practice was for the most part accurate, the men showed a slight tendency to throw wildly.
