The table below gives a comparison between the total University enrolment on October 7, 1905, and October 18, 1904. The total registration of the University on October 7 was 3865, as against 4004 on the corresponding day last year. This is a decrease, as compared with the corresponding date last year, of 93 in Harvard College and 14 in the Lawrence Scientific School, but an increase of 21 in the Graduate School, making the net decrease in the three departments under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences 86. In the Divinity School the number of students in the regular course is 2 more than last year; but the total number including graduate and special students, in 3 less. The Law School registration shows a decrease of 24 from last year's figures. The only increase in this year's registration statistics is offered by the Medical School, the entering class in which shows an increase of 10, the first upward step after the large decrease due to the requirement of a degree for admission. The total registration of the School at this date is 8 less than last year. The Dental School shows a loss of 8 in its entering class, the total registration of the School being 23 behind that of last year, Bussey Institution shows an increase of 5.
