Fast Practice by Freshman Squad

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman football practice yesterday afternoon was the most encouraging so far this year. In the scrimmage the first eleven gained long distances at almost every rush, and scored twice against the scrub. When the second eleven took the ball, no consistent gains could be made against the first, who held the scrub again and again for downs. Trick plays, with special reference to the Yale game, were tried against the first, who stopped them in almost every case successfully.

The last line-up of the season before the Yale game will come this afternoon. Tomorrow the signals will be run through and the squad will probably be given a rest on Friday.
