Arrangements have been made to row the Carroll Cup race for single sculls before the Harvard-Cornell race on the Charles on Saturday, May 27. The start will be made at Harvard Bridge at 4.15 o'clock and the finish at the Longwood Bridge making a one mile course.

Entries, which may be made with the captains of the Weld and Newell boat clubs, or left at the CRIMSON office, will close at 7 o'clock on Friday, May 26.

This race will be followed by the University race with Cornell, which will be started at the Union Boat Club at 4.30 o'clock and rowed upstream over the regular mile and seven-eighths course. The Boston police have undertaken to police the course, and the river will be closed to navigation on the afternoon of the race. Mr. Meikleham, who has for years refereed the University boat races at New London and Poughkeepsie, will act as referee, and C. H. Schweppe '02 as chairman of the Regatta Committee. The other officials have not as yet been chosen.

The Cornell crew which will arrive on Thursday morning, May 25, will stay at the Hotel Victoria and will keep their shell at the Union Boat Club. They have been tendered the use of the launch "Veritas" for coaching purposes while in Boston. On either Thursday or Friday the Cornell crew will visit Cambridge, as the guests of the University. On Friday both the crews will attend the dual concert of the Harvard and Cornell musical clubs in Sanders Theatre.

Tickets for the grandstand to be erected at the finish of both races are now on sale at Leavitt & Peirce's and Herrick's, at $1 for H. A. A. ticket-holders, and $1.50 for all others. The sale will close on May 17. A number of seats have been reserved for members of the crew.
