The University crew was given an easy row yesterday afternoon as far as Harvard bridge. The new shell, just finished by W. H. Davy of Cambridge, was tried for the first time and proved very satisfactory. It will be used regularly from now on and will be taken to New London. No changes have been made in the orders of the University crews.
Another change was made yesterday in the order of the Freshman eight. Park was tried at three, where Fahnestock and Harding have been rowing for the last few days. No changes were made in the two four-oars.
The order of the Freshmen yesterday was: Stroke, Morgan; 7, Amberg; 6, Fish; 5, Warren; 4, Richardson; 3, Park; 2, Despard; bow, Wiggins; cox., Arnold.
