Of the twenty-six original songs submitted, the Football Songs. Committee yesterday chose the following, to be tried at the next mass meeting; "Harvard's Victory," by "Trex;" "The Gridiron King," by "Tramp; "Reliance," by "Made in Germany," The song or songs meeting with the most approval will be used at the football games.
Out of fifteen sets of words handed in, the following were selected: "Old Harvard Wins," to the tune of "Maryland," by "Will U. Whooperup;" "Harvard Forever," to the tune of "Tramp, Tramp, Tramp, the Boys are Marching." by "Edward Lincoln." The names of the authors will not be disclosed until after the final selection has been made, in order that judgment of the songs may be entirely fair.
All of the original music should be orchestrated at once and sent to the committee, care of I. I. Howe, Weld 16.
