HAVERFORD, PA., October 3. - In the intercollegiate tennis tournament today Pell defeated Tilden of Pennsylvania, and will thus meet Leroy of Columbia in the final round tomorrow. Gordon of Princeton was easily defeated by Leroy. In the doubles Wells and Spaulding of Yale beat Lovering and Dabney. The latter played a hard uphill game, but lacked steadiness at critical times.
The scores in the semi-final round of the singles follow: Leroy, Columbia, beat Gordon, Princeton, 6-3, 6-2; Pell, Harvard, beat Tilden, Pennsylvania, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
The third round of the doubles resulted as follows: Register and Tilden, Pennsylvania, beat Thompson and Pyne, Princeton, 6-3, 7-5. In the semi-final round Wells and Spaulding, Yale beat Lovering and Dabney, Harvard, 6-4, 6-4.
