The third meeting of the American Intercollegiate Football Rules Committee will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at the Murray Hill Hotel, New York.
At the meeting held two weeks ago tentative recommendations were made in regard to the disqualification of players, the neutral Zone, forward pass and the number of players to be allowed in the line. These suggestions will be reconsidered at the meeting today. Attention will also be given to the plan of having a central board of officials which shall assign umpires and referees to officiate at all intercollegiate football contests. Perhaps the most important suggestions to be considered are those which relate to making the game more open. Some of these were taken up at the last meeting, notably the forward pass, but the 10-yard rule, advocated by Walter Camp, and numerous other minor changes were left over for today's meeting. It is expected that final action will be taken at today's meeting and referred to the various institutions represented, but in case all the business is not completed, another meeting will of course be necessary.
