The Department of Classical Antiquities has recently received from Rome about 30 marble slabs, upon which are cut various classical inscriptions found upon the tombstones in and about Rome. During the past winter these slabs have been collected at Rome by Professor C. R. Moore, of the Department of Latin, who has made a careful study of ancient inscriptions.
The slabs will be placed in Sever 25 and 27 within the next few weeks to be studied by classes in Latin Epigraphy.
