The University baseball team will play Brown at Providence this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock in the first of the two annual games. The second game will be played at Cambridge on June 6. Greene and Currier will be the battery for Harvard this afternoon.

Last year the University nine lost to Brown at Providence, 2 to 1, but won at Cambridge by a score of 4 to 2. Brown has a good record of victories this year, and judging from comparative scores the game should be very close. Of the games played by both teams, Brown has defeated Princeton, 2 to 0, and lost, 2 to 4, has tied with Dartmouth, 4 to 4, and lost, 0 to 1. Brown has also defeated Yale by a score of 1 to 0. Other important games played by the Brown team have resulted as follows: Brown 7, Wesleyan 2; Brown 4, Tufts 2; Brown 3, Syracuse 0; Brown 7, Georgetown 7.

Yesterday afternoon the University team held a long batting practice, followed by fielding on the diamond. Stephenson played in his new position in right field and got under the ball better than on the previous day. Simons made some good catches, but is still a little awkward in handling the ball. Currier puts lots of speed into his throws, and is improving in his direction. W. T. Reid, Jr., '01 assisted Coach Coburn in directing the practice.

The batting orders: HARVARD.  BROWN. Leonard, 3b.  3b., Hoye Stephenson, r.f.  s.s., Jones McCall, 2b.  c., Paine Dexter, l.f.  p., Tift Burr, 1b.  r.f., Raymond Simons, c.f.  2b., Dickinson Harvey, s.s.  1b., Elrod Greene, p.  l.f., Keen Currier, c.  c.f., Dennie
