After the University practice in the Gymnasium last night, the second basketball team defeated a team from the U. S. S. New Jersey by the score of 50 to 14. The play was fast and spirited, but the second team entirely outplayed the visitors, who showed lack of practice. The members of the team played well together and shot very accurately.
The summary: Goals from floor--Downey 7, Currie 6, Miles 8, Dwelley 1, Mossman 2, Gill 2, Garniss 3, Franke 1. Goals on fouls--Garniss 2. Referee--Spencer. Time--20-minute halves.
