INTERCLASS TENNIS MATCHES

In the first series of the interclass tennis tournament played yesterday, the Seniors defeated the Juniors by winning five out of nine matches, and the Freshmen defeated the Sophomores five to three, one match not being played. This afternoon at 2.30 o'clock the Seniors will play off the singles with the Freshmen, and the doubles will be played at 3.30 o'clock. The summary of yesterday's matches is as follows:

Singles--G. P. Gardner '10 defeated A. Sweetser '11, 6-0, 10-8; H. Nickerson '11 defeated T. B. Townsend '10, 8-6, 6-3.

Doubles--G. Burt '08 and H. P. Burt '08 defeated E. T. Dana '09 and C. D. Moss '09, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1; A. S. Dabney '09 and E. P. Pearson '09 defeated C. R. Leonard '08 and G. S. Taylor '08, 6-3, 7-9, 6-4; N. W. Niles '09 and O. W. Knauth '09 defeated C. C. Pell '08 and E. M. Pickman '08, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4; T. B. Townsend '10 and D. V. Leland '10 defeated J. M. Walker '11 and W. M. Whiting, Jr., '11, 6-3, 6-4; F. F. A. Pearson '11 and H. Nickerson '11 defeated F. S. Blanchard '10 and J. W. Wheelwright '10, 6-1, 6-2. F. R. Kirkland '10 and G. P. Gardner '10 did not play W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 and A. Sweetser '11, as the Sophomore-Freshman series was already decided.
