CLASS OUT OF THE CREW

For Two Weeks on Account of Sickness.--Necessary Changes.--The Orders.

The University crew received a serve loss yesterday afternoon, when it was announced that Glass would not be able to be back in the boat again for two or three weeks, owing to an attack of the mumps. This will prevent him from rowing in the Cornell race on May 30. Fish, however, who has been out of the crew since the Columbia race, returned to his place at 2. As a result another shift was necessitated in the order of the crew. Captain Bacon was moved back to his old position at 6, replacing Glass, and Lunt was moved from 2 to 4.

Both the University and second crews went not early yesterday afternoon so that they might follow the class races after the practice. The crews went up to Brighton bridge and back in easy stretches, coached by Wray from the "John Harvard." The rowing of the second eight was better than at any time this year, and the University crew showed improvement over the work of the past few days.

The crews rowed in the following order:

University crew--Stroke, Farley; 7, Richardson; 6 R. Bacon; 5, Severance; 4, Lunt; 3, Faulkner; 2, Fish; bow, Burchard; cox., Blagden.

Second crew--Stroke, G. Boson; 7, Amberg; 6 Swaim; 5, Hanfstaengl; 4, Fahnestock; 3, Morgan, 2, Macdonald; bow, Wiggins; cox., Arnold.
