Mr. Gilbert Murray, M.A., LL.D., formerly professor of Greek at the University of Glasgow, will deliver the third of his series of lectures on "Greek Traditional Poetry" in the Fogg Lecture Room at 8 o'clock this evening, on the subject, "An Ancient Traditional Book; the Normal Processes of Growth."
In his first lecture, Mr. Murray spoke on the Aegean kingdoms, the destructive effects of the northern immigrations, on the security of Aegean commerce, and the religion of the Greek Polis. His second lecture was on the breaking up of institutions, such as agricultural sanctions and tribes, under the stress of the migrations, and on the meanings of "Aidos" and "Nemesis" in Greek life and literature.
All the lectures will be open to the public.
