L. P. Dodge '08 was yesterday elected captain of the University track team for next year.
Dodge prepared for College at Noble and Greenough School, where he ran on the relay team for two years. He won his "H" in his Freshman year, taking third place in the 100-yard and second place in the 220-yard dashes against Yale, and third place in the 220-yard dash in the Intercollegiate meet. Last year in the dual games with Yale he took first place in the 220-yard dash in the fast time of 21 4-5 seconds, and was third in the Intercollegiate games. This year at New Haven he won first and second places in the 220 and 100-yard dashes respectively. In the Intercollegiate games last Saturday he strained a tendon in his leg in the final heat of the 220-yard dash and was unable to secure a position. The injury is not considered serious, and it is expected that he will be able to run next year.
