The Yale baseball authorities have announced their intention of doing away with the professional baseball coaching which they have had for the past four years and of returning to the old system of graduate coaching. This announcement was accompanied by the resignation of Coach Lush, whose contract does not expire until next fall. It was thought advisable, however, to make the change this spring rather than later, so Coach Lush has agreed to withdraw.
No coach has been secured as yet, but Captain Jones has several men under consideration who will be able to co-operate with him in the coaching of the team this spring.
