CAPTAIN BURR ON FIELD

His Playing in Yale Game Still Doubtful.--Team Given Long Signal Practice.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

F. H. Burr, captain of the University football team, was on the field again yesterday afternoon and watched the practice. He was not in his football clothes, however, and his arm is in a sling. It is still doubtful whether or not he will be able to play in the Yale game. Burr was hurt in practice on October 30, and the injury proved serious enough to keep him in the Infirmary for ten days. His place at left guard has been filled by Dunlap.

Secret work for the team was continued yesterday, and consisted mainly of a 35-minute signal practice. Afterwards the team praticed defensive formations. Cutler, Gray, Kennard and Sprague kicked to the backs, and Newhall coached Cutler in kicking goals and catching punts in the backfield. The first eleven lined up in the signal practice as follows: l.e., Browne; l.t., McKay; l.g., Dunlap; c., Nourse; r.g., Withington; r.t., Fish; r.e., Crowley; q.b., Cutler; l.h.b., Corbett, Leslie; r.h.b., White, f.b., Kennard, Ver Wiebe.
