Lectures on Christianity in Japan

The Faculty of Andover Theological Seminary announces a course of six lectures on "The History of Christianity in Japan," by the Rev. Otis Cary, D.D., Missionary of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Kyoto. These lectures will be open to the public, and will be given in Peabody Hall, Phillips Brooks House, at 4.30 o'clock on the following dates:

Dec. 1--The Jesuit Missions of the Sixteenth Century.

Dec. 2--The Apparent Extermination of Christianity.

Dec. 3--Closed Doors and Their Unlocking.

Dec. 8--The Beginning of Protestant and the Re-establishment of Roman Catholic Missions.

Dec. 9--The Mission of the Holy Orthodox (Russo-Greek) Church.

Dec. 10--Later History of the Three Branches of the Church.
