In the dual gymnastic meet Saturday night in the Hemenway Gymnasium, Columbia defeated the University team by a score of 29 points to 25.

Harvard was handicapped by the smallness of the team, entering only one man in the side-horse, the horizontal bar, and the tumbling, in which Columbia had two or more entries. The University team showed individual superiority, winning four out of the six events, but lacked secondary men, as was shown by their only winning second and third in two events.

For Harvard, J. Tyng '08 and G. S. Taylor '08 did the best work, winning 19 points. For Columbia, H. S. Schoonmaker far excelled the rest, gaining 16 points alone. Individually, H. S. Schoonmaker, of Columbia, won first place, J. Tyng '08 second, and G. S. Taylor '08 third.
