The matches of the interclass tennis tournament played yesterday resulted as follows: C.C. Pell '08 defeated J.E. Gardiner '08, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0; O.W. Knauth '09 defeated V. Kennard '09, by default; E.P. Pearson '09 defeated O.W. Knauth '09, 6-2, 6-1; H. Peters '10 defeated T.B. Townsend '10, 6-3, 6-3; G.C. Adams '10 defeated E.L. Beard '10, 6-0, 1-6, 7-5; H. Nickerson '11 defeated H.C. Kittredge '11, 6-1, 6-2. As neither J.C. Johnson '11 or R. Crosby '11 appeared for their match, it was called off, and W.B. Fraser-Campbell '11 was given a victory by default over the assumed winner. By defeating J.E. Gardiner '08, C.C. Pell '08 became the Senior class champion, and will play the Junior class champion in the semi-finals.
The following matches will be played today. These matches must be finished in time or all three will be defaulted.
1911--C.P. Aiken '11 vs. W.B. Fraser-Campbell '11, at 1.15 o'clock; A. Sweetser '11 vs. winner of Aiken-Fraser-Campbell match, at 2.15; H. Nickerson '11 vs. E. M. Ach '11, at 2.30. The rest of the matches are postponed until Thursday.
In the trials for the University team, F. Cutting '09 was selected as one of the two men to fill places on the team. The other player will be chosen this afternoon, and the following men must be at the tennis courts at 2.30 sharp to compete for the place: G.C. Adams '10, M.T. Ackerland '09, P. Grant '08, and W.H.Y. Hackett '08
