Plans for Engineering-Camp

The University Engineering Camp at Squam Lake, New Hampshire, will open for the summer on Thursday, June 18, and will last for eleven weeks. No entrance examinations are required. The courses in surveying, however, require a knowledge of trigonometry. All courses may be counted towards the degree of A. B. or S. B. Non-Members of the University will be given a certificate; and to such of these students who may subsequently enter the University in regular standing, proper credit will be given.

The charges to members of the University for the following courses, which will be given, are as follows: Engineering 4a, Plane Surveying, a full course beginning on June 18 and continuing six weeks, &55; Engineering 4d, Railroad Surveying, a full course beginning on July 30 and continuing five weeks, &47.50; Engineering 4c, Geodetic Surveying, a Half-course beginning on July 30 and continuing three weeks, &27.50; Engineering 5e, Elementary Statics, a half-course beginning on June 18 and continuing three weeks, &42.50; Engineering 5d, Resistance of Materials, a half-course beginning on July 9 and continuing three weeks, &42.50: Engineering 5e, Elementary Kinematics and Kinetics, a half-course beginning on July 9 and continuing three weeks &42.50. An additional charge for surveying courses is made for students who are not members of the University and for students in the University not in regular standing.

All students who desire to take courses at the Camp, whether elective or prescribed, should register at Pierce 110 on Wednesday, June 10. Registration cards may be obtained at University 2. Additional information or advice may be had from Professor Hughes or Mr. Page at Pierce 114, mornings and afternoons from 2 to 4 o'clock except Saturdays, until the opening of the Camp.
