FOOTBALL PRACTICE LIGHT

Corbett, Leslie and McKay Still Out of Game.--P. D. Smith Back.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The secret practice of the University football squad yesterday was very light, attention was given to details and there was no scrimmage. The work was very encouraging for all the players seemed to grasp what was told them more quickly than usual. Leslie, McKay, and Corbett were not dressed for play, but P. D. Smith was given a little work.

The usual preliminary practice, with each set of players under a special coach, was finished rather early. Coach Haughton then had the backs run through a series of plays before calling the second team into the Stadium. The second team lined up against the first, but only walked through the plays. Particular attention was given to individual faults, the new men, Hooper and L. Withington, being given special attention. The work was fast and full of snap.

W. K. Blodgett '11 has been taken on the University training table.

The teams lined up as follows: FIRST TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Houston, l.e.  r.e., Paine Hooper, l.t.  r.t., Davis L. Withington, l.g.  r.g., Blake P. Withington, c.  c., Morris Fisher, r.g.  l.g., Knapp Fish, r.t.  l.t., Coburn G. G. Browne, r.e.  l.e., S. Brown O'Flaherty, q.b.  q.b., Johnson Frothingham, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Burrage Long, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Tryon Minot, f.b.  f.b., E. Blodgett
