Captain Fish of the University football team announced last night that Carlisle would not be given a date on the schedule for 1909. October 23, the open date in the early part of the season, has been assigned to Brown, and November 13 is being held open for Dartmouth.
The schedule, so far as it is now made up, is entirely provisional and still has to be consented to by the Athletic Committee.
The principal reasons for making the change were that Carlisle is not strictly a college and so has less claim to a place on the schedule than Brown, and that the latter will better fill the requirements of the schedule.
