1909 Baseball Team Defeated 1911

The Seniors won the second game of the interclass baseball series yesterday afternoon, defeating the Sophomores by the score of 14 to 7. The game was poorly played throughout and the work of the Sophomores was very pitiful. For the Seniors Burr, Bush, Currie and Elynn played best, while Carr's work at third and Minot's batting were the only redeeming features of the Sophomores' play.

In the first inning the Sophomores started by scoring three runs, two of which were earned. Another run was earned in the third on a pass to Carr, a sacrifice hit and a single by Minot. One run was added in the eighth inning and another in the ninth.

After tallying in the first, the Seniors secred four runs in the next inning principally through the Sophomores' errors. Three more runs were added in the sixth when, with the bases full, Burr knocked a three-bagger to right centre, and a combination of hits and errors gave the Seniors their final four runs in the eighth.
