BASEBALL WORK OUTLINED

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At a meeting of the baseball candidates held in the Assembly Room of the Union last evening, at which about 60 men reported, Coach L. P. Pieper '02 outlined the work for the coming season and the method by which it will be carried on.

Mr. Garcelon will be on the field nearly every afternoon during the season to watch over the general physical condition of the men, but he will have nothing to do with the technical points of the game. It is also planned to confer with graduates who were on the team while in College and to invite suggestions as to minor changes in the present system. Work for the candidates will begin on February 14, and it is necessary for all men to pay strict attention to their examinations so as to make available all good material to fill the many places left vacant by graduation. Every player will be expected to report promptly and steadily and will be given a fair opportunity to show his ability.

Battery Practice Monday.

All battery candidates for the University and Freshman teams should report for practice at the Baseball Cage on Monday. Notice of the time of reporting will be published in the CRIMSON.
