The University association football team was defeated Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field by a team from the Wood Worsted Mill of Lawrence, the score being 3 to 1. All the points were made in the first half; in the second half the University team outplayed its opponents, and several times narrowly missed making a goal. Chadwick made the only score for Harvard, with assistance from Leland, who ran the ball half the length of the field and then passed it over to Chadwick. Leland and Chadwick excelled on the offence for Harvard and Cushing on the defence. The summary: HARVARD.  W. W. M.
