PLANS FOR SHOOTING CLUB

Officers Elected at Meeting Last Evening.--Fall Practice to Begin Soon.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At a meeting of the University Shooting Club last evening the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: president, S. Mixter '12; vice-president, J. Heard, Jr., '12; captain, D. Lockwood '13; vice-captain, T. J. Knapp '14; secretary, R. Bullock '15; treasurer, H. Jackson '15.

During the fall, practice will be held three times a week and notices will appear in the CRIMSON giving the days on which the traps will be open. Freshmen are particularly urged to come out. No experience is necessary as both captains and members of the team will be there to give help to all beginners.

This fall a meet will be held with Yale, probably on the morning of the Harvard-Yale football game; the date has not been definitely decided upon, however. A shoot with Dartmouth may also be held. The Freshman team will have a fall meet with Yale and one with Andover.

In the spring the University team will compete against Yale, Dartmouth and Princeton, as well as taking part in the intercollegiate shoot. The Freshmen will also hold several meets in the spring, the number depending upon the interest shown and the number of candidates who come out.

Novice, handicap and open meets will be held both in the spring and fall and several cups will be offered, and medal shoots will be held once a week all through the season.
