Phillips Brooks House will hold open house Christmas evening between 6.45 and 10 o'clock. Every member of the University who will be in Cambridge on Christmas is invited to be present. An elaborate program of entertainment is being prepared for the evening, and it is hoped that the festival will be even more attractive than was that held Thanksgiving evening.
The parlor will be cleared of all furniture and decorated in an appropriate manner. Pillows will be laid about the floor and a big fire will be lighted in the open fire-place. Refreshments of several kinds will be served.
The entertainment will consist of readings from Bret Harte by Professor I. L. Winter '86 and of other stories by Mr. F. W. C. Hersey of the English Department. J. T. Lanman '15 will perform feats of necromancy, and L. G. del Castillo '14 will play several pieces on the piano. There will also probably be other forms of music during the evening.
