Freshman Track Candidates' Meeting

A meeting of candidates for the Freshman track team will be held in the Assembly Room of the Union on Tuesday, January 7, at 7.30 o'clock. The meeting will be for all Freshmen who intend to take up track work of any form in the spring. Plans for the season and an outline of what will be expected of the men will be presented by J. B. Cummings '13, captain of the University team, and D. P. Ranney 1L., who will act as coach for the Freshmen. The other speakers will be as follows: C. C. Little '10. P. Withington '09, and P. R. Withington '12.

Since the rather weak showing in cross country, it is hoped that a large number of men will report for regular practice. The success of the University team depends largely upon having an abundance of material from each Freshman class to develop. Thus, all men who feel that they can do good work, whether they have had any previous experience or not, are urged to at least attend the meeting.
