Second Baseball Team vs. Middlesex.

The second University baseball team will play its second game, with Middlesex School, in Middlesex this afternoon.

History of Palace at Versailles.

Professor Eugene J. A. Duquesne, of the department of Architecture, lectured on "L'histoire du palais de Versailles" yesterday afternoon. He described the development of the royal residence from its beginning in the eleventh century until the death of Louis XIV.

Louis XIII saw the beauty of the situation of the former hunting lodge and built a brick and stone Renaissance palace. A magnificent park was marked out.

Appointments by Board of Overseers.

The Corporation announces the three following appointments: Solon Irving Bailey A.M. '88, as Phillips Professor of Astronomy, from September 1, 1912; Charles Palache as Professor of Mineralogy, from September 1, 1912; Arthur Becket Lamb A.M. '03, as Assistant Professor of Chemistry, from September 1, 1912.
