Professors on Leave of Absence.

At a recent meeting of the Corporation Prof. C. S. Minot, Ph.D. '78 was granted a leave of absence on full pay for next year to be exchange professor at the University of Berlin.

Professor Minot was made a lecturer on ambryology in 1880, an instructor in 1883, an assistant professor in 1887, and professor in 1892. In 1905 he was appointed James Stillman Professor of Comparative Anatomy which position he now holds.

W. S. Burke, Inspector of Grounds and Buildings was granted a leave of absence for the remainder of the year. H. S. Crane will occupy his position temporarily.

Gifts from King George V.

Two medals have been received from His Majesty, King George V of England, which were struck in commemoration of his Coronation, and of the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Carnarvon. The medals will be placed in a show case in the Library.

Appointments Approved Yesterday.

The following appointments were approved yesterday by the Board of Overseers: Henry Aaron Yeomans '00, assistant professor of Government, and also a member of the Administrative Board of Harvard College for the second half of the current academic year; Samuel Henshaw h. '03, Director of the Museum of Comparative Zoology; Edward Hickling Bradford '69, professor of Orthopedic Surgery Emeritus; James Jackson Putman '66, professor of Diseases of the Nervous System Emeritus; Chandler Rathfon Post '04, assistant professor of Greek and of Fine Arts: Horace David Arnold '85, dean of the Graduate School of Medicine.
