OPENING GAME WITH RED SOX

UNIVERSITY TEAM MEETS WORLD'S CHAMPIONS AT FENWAY PARK TODAY AT 3.30.

Weather permitting, the University baseball team will open its season with the Boston Red Sox, the world's champions, at Fenway Park this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. The entire squad will leave Harvard square on a special car at 1.30.

Owing to the inclement weather yesterday's practice was confined to the Cage. Several of the pitching candidates worked out but Coach Sexton has practically decided to start Felton in the box although he may be replaced by Frye after a few innings. Left field is still a doubtful position, as both Milholland and Alsop will be given a trial this afternoon. Young will start the game behind the bat but it is altogether likely that Osborne will be tried out during the last few innings.

Notwithstanding the snow and rain of yesterday the diamond should be in fairly good shape today, as the Boston management had it covered all day.

Manager Stahl of the Red Sox has not definitely decided who will pitch for Boston but it will probably be Leonard, who may be relieved by Bedient.

The batting orders: HARVARD.  RED SOX. Frye, r.f.  r.f., Henricksen Wingate, s.s.  2b., Yerkes Hardwick, c.f.  c.f., Speaker Clarke, 2b.  3b., Gardner Tomes, 3b.  l.f., Lewis Ayres, 1b.  1b., Janvrin Alsop, Milholland, l.f.  s.s., Wagner Young, Osborn, c.  c., Carrigan Felton, p.  p., Leonard
