LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP MAY HINGE ON VICTORY OVER PENNSYLVANIA.

The University association football team plays the third game on its championship intercollegiate schedule at 2.45 o'clock this afternoon, when it meets the University of Pennsylvania on Soldiers Field. The two games played so far this fall, with Princeton and Cornell, both resulted in ties, and Pennsylvania's only game, with Yale, resulted in a 2-0 victory, so both teams are even as regards their present league standing.

Last year the University won the intercollegiate championship, with Pennsylvania runner-up; so the game this afternoon is considered by the teams as the most important game of the season.

The best strength of the University team has not yet been shown, for in their first game they were hardly in their best form, while last Monday, at Ithaca, the game was played on a muddy, slippery field which greatly handicapped them.

The Pennsylvania team this year is an unusually fast one, and the game is expected to be closely contested from the start.

The probable line-up of both teams follows: HARVARD.  PENNSYLVANIA. Nichols, g.  g., J. I. Hopkins J. M. Jennings, l.f.  r.f., Webster Chubb, r.f.  l.f., J. Hopkins O'Neill, c.h.b.  c.h.b., Moffey Moffat, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Hirst Fenn, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Mohr Baker, c.  c., Frazier Blackmur, l.i.f.  r.i.f., Murphy J. C. Jennings, r.i.f.  l.i.f., Thayer Norris, r.o.f.  l.o.f., de Gaudenzi Weld, l.o.f.  r.o.f., Baron
