A TRIBUTE TO BROOKS HOUSE.
The University has always taken pride in the work of its Social Service Bureau. The department has gone about its work in a sound and business-like manner, as far removed as possible from the ordinary type of "drawing room" charity. The offer of the Appointment Office to investigate, upon request, the work of men in this field, with a view to determining their increased efficiency as teachers, in recommending them for positions, comes as an admission of the thoroughness of their work. It should prove an added inducement to men entering this field. They can now feel that they are adding to their own value as teachers, in addition to their services to the community.
