Polity Club to Entertain Distinguished Chancellor of Stanford.

The International Polity Club will hold a small and informal reception for Dr. David Starr Jordan, chancellor of Leland Stanford Jr. University in Randolph 2 this afternoon between 4.30 and 5.30 o'clock.

Dr. Jordan is well known for his interest in International Peace. In the first part of his career he was a professor and later became president of Leland Stanford Jr., from 1891-1913. Since then he has been chancellor. In 1910 he was made chief director of the World Peace Foundation. He has written many books among which are "The Voice of the Scholar" and "The Religion of a Sensible American."

All persons anxious to meet Dr. Jordan at this time will be able to do so by communicating with B. D. A son '17 at 52 Mt. Auburn street.

Miss Balch Speaks Tuesday.

On next Tuesday evening, the P Club will meet with the Radcliffe P Club to hear Professor Emily G Balch, of Wellesley, speak upon the ference for continuous mediation Stockholm to which Miss Balch was American delegate, and to which she return in January.
